A transformational leader with a servant’s heart, focused on student success, accountability, and opportunity in District 5.

My Why

I’m running for the Montgomery County Board of Education, District 5, because every student deserves access to strong schools, safe learning environments, and pathways that lead to real opportunity.

Effective school board leadership requires clear direction, responsible oversight, and alignment between schools, families, and the broader community. My focus is on setting priorities that improve outcomes, protect resources, and ensure decisions are made with students at the center.

As a lifelong Alabamian, husband, and father of two daughters, education is personal to me. I’ve worked closely with youth and families across Montgomery and surrounding communities and have seen how strong leadership creates opportunity, and how the absence of it limits potential.

My why is simple: students first, accountability always, and leadership that delivers results.

Your contribution helps power a grassroots campaign focused on student achievement, safe schools, and responsible leadership.

Who I Am

I am a community-focused leader with experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and people development. My work across education, nonprofit service, and faith-based leadership has centered on responsibility, accountability, and helping individuals and systems reach their full potential.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Science with a minor in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Human Resources Management, and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. My training and professional experience inform how I evaluate systems, manage resources, and support sound decision-making.

In addition to my professional work, I serve as Pastor of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and as Polemarch of the Troy Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., where I was a founding member. These roles reflect a long-standing commitment to service, collaboration, and community stewardship.

These experiences shape how I lead—with integrity, strategic focus, and a commitment to doing what is right for people and the institutions that serve them.

Strategic Priorities For District 5

District 5 is rich in talent and potential, but strong outcomes require intentional leadership and aligned systems. Ensuring every student has access to quality programs, safe learning environments, and meaningful pathways to future success demands clear priorities and responsible oversight.

  • STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS & ALIGNMENT - Setting clear goals and ensuring district efforts move in one coordinated direction..

  • FISCAL & ACADEMIC ACCOUNTABILITY - Providing responsible oversight that protects resources and drives improved student outcomes.

  • STRATEGIC COMMUNITY & WORKFORCE PARTNERSHIPS - Aligning schools, employers, nonprofits, and institutions to expand opportunities for students and families.

School board leadership should remain grounded in outcomes, transparency, and decisions that put students and families first.

Doing the Work | Not Just Talking About It

As the founder of Fortitude Leadership Academy, I developed the Life and Soft Skills Fundamentals curriculum, a program designed to foster foundational skills essential for student success in school, the community, and the workplace. The curriculum has been implemented in Montgomery Public Schools, Troy City Schools, and the Montgomery County Youth Facility. It was also selected as the instructional foundation for Montgomery Public Schools’ GEAR UP, serving students across multiple middle schools with a focus on leadership, character development, workplace readiness, and personal responsibility.

Since 2019, Fortitude Leadership Academy has worked directly within Montgomery Public Schools and surrounding communities, supporting students, educators, and families through mentoring, enrichment, and leadership development initiatives.

I also authored the Junior Innovators: Gardening Program, a hands-on learning experience that connects education to responsibility, growth, and real-world application. Through this program, we install community gardens and teach sustainability and conservation in partnership with Montgomery Public Schools and charter schools.

These efforts are not concepts or campaign ideas, they are established programs already making a measurable impact in the lives of young people.

"I'm not running to learn the job, I'm running because I've already been doing the work."
